Patrick Ward, Founder and President
Patrick founded MetroGroup Realty Finance in 1983 and currently serves as president of the company. Representing a broad and diversified commercial clientele, Mr. Ward has structured and delivered more than $3 billion in commercial mortgage financing through his enduring relationships with institutional correspondent investors. Mr. Ward is recognized by his clients for his creativity and expertise spanning over a 35 year career and several regional and national economic cycles.
In addition to his service as advisory board member of a national bank, Mr. Ward is trustee of a significant real estate trust, founding member of a state chartered bank, and has served on the board of directors of a regional mortgage banking firm. He is active in the regional and national affairs of the Mortgage Bankers Association and serves on the board of several community and civic organizations.
J.D. Blashaw, Vice President
J.D. has made significant contributions at MetroGroup Realty Finance since joining the company in 2012 having originated, underwritten and closed over $300M of income property loans. J.D. will be the principal leader in maintaining MetroGroup’s lender relationships and will continue to oversee the company’s underwriting and closing operations.
Ivan Kustic, Vice President
A native of Croatia, Ivan moved to the U.S. in 2010 and enjoyed a successful collegiate career as a four-time national champion student-athlete at a Division I university. Since joining MetroGroup Realty Finance in 2016, Ivan has originated, underwritten and closed over $200M of income property loans. Ivan currently heads MetroGroup’s permanent, bridge and construction origination.
